A Book and a Story (Sitting in a Tree...)

Writing Journal: Started hacking on The Adjusters #28, where we start partying DIK style. That party will probably spread over two episodes, as there's a lot that happens there. On a different note, folks have been asking me whether I'm planning on a Christmas Special this year. First off, for the record, let it be known that I'm not ready for the Holiday Season to start. It's too soon. I refuse to accept that we're already well into December. Second, I'm thinking about it—the Christmas Special, that is. There's one scene that occurs circa Episode 14 or so that I have mostly written and that I have not been able to fit anywhere...

Got an email this afternoon from Beast5, whose mind-control story Subliminal I talked about almost a year ago. I suspect he won't mind me reposting the email here:

stories, but the plot is more filled out and the writing is more polished.

There's an excerpt at the book site. Looks interesting, and there seems to be some mind-control elements in it. I'm probably going to get it at some point, I'll let you know what I think. If you get to it before I do, feel free to review it for the rest of us in the comments.

On the shorter-story side, I re-encountered a story that I first read several years back, from Captain Nice, The Solution: “Tom comes home with a special formula to try out on his girlfriend.” While I'm not big on breast enlargement, I love it when the girl's sensitivity shoots sky-high and makes her act against her better judgment.

That's right, just about to ring the death knell of 2010 here at Casa Smutty Footnotes. Let me take this opportunity to thank all of you that have been reading what I have written, commented, and emailed me. I appreciate it all, believe me.

I'm putting the finishing touches to The Adjusters #12, which is turning out long (surprise! surprise!), and because of the New Year's responsibilities may turn out a few days late. But it'll be worth the wait, you'll see.
