Girls Next Door

Writing Journal: Grrr. After having written a good three-quarters of The Adjusters #51—which as far as I'm concerned has acquired the subtitle “That Big Stinking Pile of Crap Exposition”—I'm probably going to ditch a good 3000 words of it because it did end up being a confused mess, or so says my storytelling sense. If I'm lucky, I might be able to push the “deleted” scene into Book V, but I fear that doing that will lead to some jumping back and forth through time, which is painful. In other words, I'm unhappy. I'll survive, of course. But in the meantime—unhappy.

Ran across a nice little story on Literotica, Ashley's Revenge by TallMarriedMan: “Ashley has had enough of his meddling wife.” A very cute and dirty story about a girl next door that gets it into her head to seduce her neighbor to get revenge on his wife. And she succeeds admirably.

That story reminded me of an old story that I loved way back when, and after spending a good half-hour searching for it with all the Google Fu I could muster, I bring you the classic Call Girl Cheerleaders (Part 2, Part 3), by Richard Bissell: “A guy falls into a relationship-for-money with a high school cheerleader that soon grows into a group thing that then flowers into a romantic relationship between him and the girls.” Wonderful long story with hot sex galore and nontrivial emotions. As I said, a classic.

Two Stories

Writing Journal: The Adjusters #51 is chugging along swimmingly—and I think I even have the sex scene now. Oh, and just to warn you: I'm probably going to take a month off after that installment to think seriously about Book V, which is sketched out but rather roughly.

Two stories caught my eye this week.

The first is Beauty Queen Slut by Girdleman2: “A former top Hong Kong whore returns to prostitution.” Ongoing, but I love the setup, and a former high-class actress/escort forced to return to whoring of a much seedier kind tickles my inner misanthrope. Delightfully dark.

The second is Recession Blues, by RogueAlan: “Wife finds stripping pays the bills; what more will she do?” Actually, the original storyline is by Stormbringer, as a script for a cartoon story at Illustrated Interracial. This is the “novelization,” as the author says. Nice little story of a cheating wife that can't control her libido.

Mister_Shy Stories

Writing Journal: I'm smack in the middle of The Adjusters #51, and I'm fighting the temptation to make it too complicated, too involved, too confusing. Not that I want any of that, of course, but given that it's the end of Book IV and I want to set up the next step of the storyline, it seems to naturally lead to something overly complex. The plan is to write the whole thing, and then take out bits that are too confusing and pushed them further back, into Book V. (By the way, let me say how glad I am that we're about to get out of Book IV. I realize many people enjoyed it a lot, but it was starting to make me feel claustrophobic, what with being trapped in that ward and all...)

Let me just get this out of the way: 50 installments of The Adjusters. I'm the first surprised that I managed to carry this story so far, kicking and screaming at times. Thanks for being part of the journey. And here's to 50 more!

I came across an author I'm enjoying on Literotica, called Mister_Shy.

He has a few good stories with self-contained interesting plots and, of course, wonderful sex.

More than a Ghost: “An invisible man. An open window. A beautiful neighbor.”

Spunky Blackmail: “Girlfriend's sister gives him what he wants.”

Tell Me You Love Me: “She accepts his indecent proposal.”

New Story: The Adjusters #50

Here is April's installment of The Adjusters, “Awry”, wherein a plan is enacted and Jenn is set up as bait.

As usual, comments welcome.

I'll also remind you that we have a Speculation Thread available for general discussion. (A thread which I read but do not comment on.)

The Adjusters #50 - Awry

It’s dark. Middle of the night. I can’t sleep. I’m on my back, on my bed, my arms folded with my hands underneath my head. I’m staring at the ceiling. On the other side of the room, Allison is sleeping soundly, having none of my problems. I envy her for that.

My name is Jennifer Hansen, and by now I should be used to things being out of my control and they should not keep me up at night. Yet here I am, worrying about the fact that in order to get that Pig Gutierrez in trouble enough that he has to abort his plan to sell Mouse to animals who want to take revenge on her, I’m setting myself up bait to get the Pig to molest me so that we can record it and show it to representatives of whatever agencies are funding the Institute that are coming to visit in three days time.

That’s a reasonable plan on paper, but I can’t shake the feeling that something is about to go horribly wrong. And that’s despite having spent all my life being referred to as the optimistic happy-go-lucky one.
