Writing Journal: The Adjusters #27 seems to have been well received. I find it interesting that most of the comments that came my way—thanks to everyone that took the time to drop me a note, it's greatly appreciated—were plot-related. Nary a peep about the sex. Which tickles me to no end. On a different note, had an insight today about how to approach Book IV. You'll see what I mean in good time, but while Book III is going to be pretty straightforward, Book IV is going to be challenging, in a technical way. But I may have found a suitable crack into which to wedge my trusty plot-buster.
A couple of oldies to keep you distracted in this first week of April.
The first is by Trukin_fool, here's How to Earn a Promotion. No description I could find, but it's basically the story of a man who's up for a promotion at a company, and who discovers what needs to be done in order to secure that promotion. As a hint, it involves the wife. A nice little tale, with interesting scenes, and much implicit hotness. I love how the wife tries out her shtick on her husband—very well done.
The second is a long tale, by Kathy B. and Ted E. Bear, called Coerced, Parts 1–8 and Parts 9–11: “Charlotte, in doing a friend a favor, by overseeing a party that her friend's daughters are having, in her absence, get's drugged, and does many things that she shouldn't do, including having sex with several underaged boys. As a result, her ‘friend’ blackmails her, and her husband, into forcing Charlotte to become her maid, and, unbeknownst to her husband, she also becomes a sex slave.” Kathy B. started the story, and after Part 8 Ted E. Bear picked it up and continued it. It's a good dark tale of blackmail and abuse, where the abusee ends up torn between shame and pleasure. Some very nice scenes in there—I'm a big fan of the jogging thing. I'm just sad that the story seems to have been abandoned, because I really want to know who found the date-panties....
Hey Bulgroz,
ReplyDeleteI believe that lack of comments on the sex scene is two-fold. First, the surprise of Radhu's demise was much more powerful and second, you already had posted most of it a few months earlier so it was somewhat expected.
Since book two is about to end soon, I am quite sure that Jenn's rescue won't be in the most recent future. But now you mentioning a fourth book and I hope you will get her out of Biff's grasp during book three. That poor girl has suffered enough, don't you think? :)
Astardis
That makes perfect sense, @Astardis. To be clear, I wasn't complaining, I was just noticing.
DeleteJenn, ah, yes, Jenn has a very interesting path ahead of her.
Then again, all the other characters also have very interesting paths ahead of them.
*chuckles evilly, before choking on his own saliva*
wonder what that path is. care to let go of a little spoiler.
