Writing Journal: I've been stuck for the past two weeks on the scene break between scene 2 and scene 3 in The Adjusters #33—the second chapter of Book III. I'm not entirely sure why. Usually, that suggests that I'm not sure where the story is going, but I thought I knew exactly where the story was going. Maybe my subconscious is not-so-gently trying to tell me something...
Looks like real life is slowing down a bit, just as the temperature is sky-rocketing up. I guess that's a reasonable trade-off.
That does mean I should be able to schedule a bit more smut reading. In particular, there are some “contemporary” MC authors that hang out on MC Forum that I should read more carefully. I might just make that my summer smut project.
Actually, let me ask you folks the question: is there anything recent that I should read that I haven't read yet—or at least that I haven't talked about here?
In the meantime, here is a sampling of stories that have make it to my bookmarks, with a general female/female domination theme.
Let's start with a mind-control story by Couture, The Smell of Sex: “Laura's mind is programmed by roommate with a vendetta.” A decent female/female long tale with a heavy dose of humiliation.
Second, here's With Strings Attached, by Maxout09: “Alice is tricked into a relationship with a dominant girl.” Not mind control, but good old domination. Another decent longish tale. Played more realistic than Couture's story.
Finally, an oldie that I did not discover until recently, with strong F/F themes as well—Jillian's Tale, by Dr. P: “Jillian reveals her deepest, darkest secrets to the hypnotist who is helping her quite smoking. Her therapist, in the employ of one of Jillian's rivals, ‘helps’ her reveal her deepest, darkest fantasies through hypnosis.” Some good stuff in there, and a good mix of mind control and domination playing well together.

Stories with a Domination Theme
Writing Journal: My apologies for the infrequency of these posts. To bring you all up to date, The Adjusters #29 seems to have been well received. Meanwhile, I finished the first draft of The Adjusters #32 last week. Not bad. It will need some work, but I think it sets the tone for Book III. Writing's been painful these last few weeks—I'm only able to push out about 200–300 words a day, which is ridiculous, and I'm not entirely sure why. Maybe it's just because what I've been reading lately has been quite good, which makes me despair of ever writing well: when everything you write feels like crap, it's difficult to feel the love. But still we plow on ahead.
Here are a few random stories that I have bookmarked recently, leaning towards the domination genre.
First off, Ceight's Man and Wife: “A man realizes his wife is submissive and in rushing to take advantage of it finds how dominating he really is.” Sweetly twisted.
Second, a good mind-control story with a rather nasty protagonist, Toymaker, by HandsInTheDark: “The fringe benefits of parapsychology.” Basically the story of a guy who gains mind-control powers following an experiment, and takes advantage of it to satisfy his basest urges. A story with an actual ending, though no real Aristotelian structure. Hot sex, though.
Third, a story that I bookmarked a while back by Bryan Devlin, Cyndi Gets Hers: “A deceitful wife has to pay for the lies she's told.” A revenge story. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this story. I like it less than I should, based on the theme and the scenario, but beats me if i can pin down what's bugging me about it. Still, the lot of you may enjoy it, so here it is.
Let's end with a dark twisted revenge story, by Darinost, Frank's New Pet: “When Julie left Frank, he was a nobody. But when a chance encounter brings them together years later, he decides to show her how much he's changed.” The title should give a hint, here. Some exquisite touches in there, and while the author lays it on quite thick, it reads well.

New Story: The Adjusters #29
Here is June's installment of The Adjusters, “The Fall of the House of Cusker”, wherein everything comes to a head.

The Adjusters #29 - The Fall of the House of Cusker
When Daniel came to, three things immediately jumped at him. First,
his body felt like one massive bruise, just like that time as he kid
when he had jammed a fork into an electrical socket. Second, he was
sitting in a chair with his wrists tied behind him and a gag in his
mouth. Third, he was not alone.
"Hey man, he's coming to..."
Daniel focused his gaze on the voice with some difficulty. In front of
him stood the man with the Green Arrow costume--what was it that
Jackson had called him, Brad?--and he looked nervous. Jackson. Daniel
turned his head and glanced to his right, wincing as he did so, and he
saw that Jackson was sitting in a chair next to his, bound and gagged
as well. There was blood matting the hair on the back of his head. And
he was awake.
Beyond Jackson, completing a rough semicircle with their own chairs,
were Kevin Cusker, as well as the blond man with the pale blue eyes
that Daniel had seen with Serena earlier standing over an
incapacitated Jackson. Both were tied up and gagged like he and
Jackson were. What's going on here? Daniel wondered. The blond man had
an angry-looking shiner on his eye and his lower lip was bloody. Kevin
looked dazed, but otherwise unharmed.
Daniel was trying to catch Jackson's eye to reassure himself that the
young man was okay when Biff circled around his chair. He had ditched
most of his Jabba costume, retaining only the lizard-skin tights. Jenn
was hanging on to his arm, caressing it with her hand, her oiled body
still exposed by her blue bra and her short metallic blue skirt that
fit her ass like a glove. She had also taken off her Bobba Fett
helmet, and her long dark hair were cascading down her back.

Delay with The Adjusters #29
Sorry folks, looks like The Adjusters #29 will be delayed a day or so—real life's been crazy on this end. I will do my utmost to have it up by tomorrow night, if not by Sunday morning. (And no, I'm not just doing this to stretch the cliffhanger...)
