Hi gang! Sorry for the silence. The computer at home went kaput, and my old backup laptop couldn't quite run a browser that can handle the Blogger platform. I managed to rig up something up, after a fashion, but I still can't comment on my own blog.
As far as the question that's on most everyone's mind: I'm almost done with the next installment. Update should be coming in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
In the mean time, I've accumulated a bunch of interesting stories, at least from my perverted perspective.
Let's start slow. Over at the EMCSA, we have My New Girlfriend, by Ice Bear: “Drew has a little trouble understanding why his hot new girlfriend Courtney goes to such extremes to please him.” Well paced, with some wonderful set pieces and hot sex. And of course, mysterious mind control, and a somewhat befuddled protagonist.
Over at Literotica, we have Tormenting Tina, by JericoKnight: “An 18-year-old enslaves his history teacher.” Blackmailed teacher — a time-tested trope. This teacher seems to enjoy it, though.
Finally, a weirdly over-the-top long meandering story, that someone reminded me existed, Mother in Law Cannot Resist by MILowner: “Fiona tries to resist her son-in-law's cock but cannot.” This story is not particularly well written, yet it keeps calling me back over and over again. A blackmailed and humiliated woman, who nevertheless cannot help herself. The thing with this story is that while it is linear, the various chapters are scattered about the author's page in alphabetical order. Enough to drive one nuts. But if you go by publication dates, you can restore the appropriate order.

Catching Up With My Reading
Writing Journal: Sometimes it's good that my writing is a bit slow these days. Earlier this evening, I solved a plot problem I did not even know was bothering me, and which should lead to a nice development later on. Even if it doesn't make it into #64, it will make it in #65.
I haven't read much smut over the Holidays; being around family will do that to you. Still, there are a few things I can mention.
A nice series started on the EMCSA a few months ago, Tolerance by Ice Bear: “Introverted college student DJ suddenly realizes the people around him are suddenly being much more accomodating to him.” Guy with MC power goes on a fun spree (at least, up to the point where I've read it). But it's not of the go-into-yer-head-and-plant-commands variety exactly, which is always nice.
Some of what I've read has been in e-books.
Someone in the comments recommended Kenny Wright's Training to Love It. I have it but have not read it yet. I'm keeping it warm for the right weekend. (Part 2 of 3 is now out I see).
I did read Max Sebastian's The Game. This book is more effective for me than his previous ones—it's a bit darker, for once, which I enjoy in my smut. Sebastian's writing generally leaves me a little bit cold, I do not know why. But he has been more to my tastes lately, and this one keeps in the progression.
And in case you worry I'm striving too far on the hotwife theme in my reading, don't worry. I've greatly enjoyed the first book in Charles Arnold's The Penitent series. It is deliciously (sometimes disgustingly) twisted in places, and hits a lot of buttons I have. I've read Book 1 of 4, and if the rest of the series remains faithful to the first one, I'll be a happy puppy.
Maybe I need a slogan to close off my blog posts. Ain't that what the cool kids are doing these days? Keep on smuttin'. Nah...

Weekend Update
Writing Journal: Almost done with The Adjusters #54. I didn't quite manage to make it standalone, which is a tiny bit of a bummer. But maybe in the coming week I'll get that flash of inspiration that let me close off the installment without dangling too many threads. But irrespectively of that, it's good to spend some time with Cindy again. The girl is a breath of fresh air.
The most relevant thing in my world this last week—because I don't live anywhere near Ferguson—is that we lost two members of our team at work, so things are going to be rock 'n' roll for the next few months.
(Fact is, all of a sudden, it's like I'm back in college, contemplating the upcoming Fall semester and its unwelcome work load.)
The way it will impact you is that I may not be here quite as much. My plan is to drop by on weekends and point out stories I've run across, as usual. The Adjusters should be unaffected, aside from the odd delay when posting might be pushed to a weekend. I'll keep you informed, as I try to do.
On a happier note, here are the stories that are making me happy this week:[1]
Mail Order Mind Control by Caesar (on SOL): “Lonely mom discovers her son wants to drug her, she makes a difficult decision.” Contains incest, but the story itself is well done (as are most Caesar stories) and the sex is hot.
Dangerous Heels by Captainhappy: “Psychology experiment with sex, hypnosis, and a twist.” Weird and a bit confusing, but good.
A discovered a new (but old) author, Evals22. His stories all revolve around the same theme, a housewife that gets turned on by submission and humiliation, and usually not through her own husband. The stories are well written, and they have a definite beginning, middle, and end, and they are hot to boot. (Especially if you like degradation sex with a cuckold bend.) I particularly recommend: Bead Slut, Companion Fare, Therapy, Wife Writer.

A Story Site I Didn't Know About
Writing Journal: Started writing The Adjusters #52 after fleshing out the nine stories that will make up Book V. The idea for Book V, as I mentioned in the past: independent stories giving a snapshot of what our characters are up to. Loosely inspired by the “A Day in the Life” installments from Book II. Except different.
Throughout May and June, I'm asking for your input about the sort of kinks you might want to see in The Adjusters.
Last week I ran across a story site that I had never seen before, which is not necessarily surprising in and of itself, but it's actually a pretty good site, and that's the surprising bit: Lush Stories.
Supposedly, they have more than 27000 stories. The site navigation is a bit of a pain, I'm sad to say: it's busy, and browsing the stories is something of a slow process, but I did find a bunch of stories I enjoyed without looking too hard. Here's a sample of what caught my eye.

Update on The Adjusters #47
This should come as no surprise given the delay on The Adjusters #46, but that delay means that #47 is not quite ready yet. I'm hoping to cross the Ts and dot the Is by this weekend, barring unforeseen eventualities.
The difference between writing #46 and #47 is rather astonishing. Both #44 and #46 were really difficult to write, and I kept making major changes at the revision stage for both of them. Comparatively speaking, #43, #45, and the upcoming #47 are straightforward. It's pretty clear that I'm finding it difficult to write Jenn at the stage she's at, and #44 and #46 have been entirely from Jenn's perspective, with a lot going on, most of it internal. And I find it tough to get it right. In contrast, #43, #45, and #47 are straight-up plot development, with a clear direction. Action versus character, I guess.
I suspect there's a lesson there that I could study, but I'm too zonked to think about it tonight.
I'll leave you with a pair of long stories that I've just discovered, The Chronicles of Rita, and Delia's Story. I have no clue if they're any good, but they seem to be well written, and the setup is certainly intriguing. They take place in a world were slavery is legal again, and they feel very... Gorean in nature, if you allow me the expression. But as I said, I don't know if that's true. Still, pointer tossed your way, for your smutty edification.

Update on The Adjusters #44
Folks: I thought I would have The Adjusters #44 revised for posting tonight, but because of a bunch of Labor Day activities, I haven't quite finished the revisions; the installment is a solid 15000 words right now, which is a big chunk of prose. So the installment won't be posted tonight, but I've got tomorrow off, so I should be able to finish and post it then. Thanks for your patience.

Two Dark Submission Stories
Writing Journal: Plowing through slowly on The Adjusters #33, fighting off my tendency to head deep into the dark forest of Expositoria. I'm also starting an editing pass at the whole of Book II for submission to the EMCSA. For that, I'm thinking of cutting up the installments into smaller chunks. I'm not terribly sure how that's going to go.
Sorry for the silence, folks. Life has quieted down somewhat since the end of June, but a consequence of going a hundred and fifty percent for a few months is that when the pressure lets up, my energy and my spirit both tank. The usual anticlimax reaction.
Which is reflected in the smut I've been reading. I've been hanging out on BDSM Library, reading dark submission fantasies. Here's a sample of what caught my eyes, in case you find yourself in a similar mood.
First, C.U.F.F.S. by DJ: “A story about a young couple's journey intending on pushing their sexual excitement to the limits they thought each other wanted but an unexpected detour took them down an ever deepening fall into humiliation, depravation, pain and finally total forced slavery.” I was looking for a long story, and found it in this one. The writing is somewhat sprawling, and it suffers from the unfortunately typical BDSM-library typographical mishaps (apostrophes and quotes coming out as unrecognized characters, etc), but the scenes of deep dark submissions are quite hot. Basically, it's about a couple that gets in way over their head with a dominant master. And there's a secondary character that turns to blackmail as well, so it's a double-whammy if you're into that sort of thing.
Second, Taxing Times by Ededas: “Elaine Salvage is a 27 year old graduate tax officer. She is beautiful, highly intelligent and destined for the top. Until she makes the mistake of angering Keith Fields, a multi-millionare business man with a sex and vice empire and some sadistic ideas on having fun.” Dark, forced submission, with some amount of physical torture. You know, the works. The characters are interesting in this one—not the two in the description, but the two in charge of training poor Elaine.

A Story by Alison Richards
Writing Journal: Bleh. I think seasonal affective disorder is hitting, hard. Getting through the day feels a bit like swimming in molasses. (I suppose... never actually swam in molasses, to be honest.) Still writing my bit daily, although of course given my mood everything sorta looks like crap.
Just a single story today, but a doozy of a long one—Alison Richards's Alison's Story: “A mature, respectable young mother and teacher reflects on her youth, when as a firebrand feminist she is taunted into becoming submissive.” Pretty much as the synopsis says. Decently written, with some very good scenes. Nothing particularly original in the humiliations involved, but that the protagonist is a strong submissive who gradually accepts that she gets off hard on being humiliated, much to her initial dismay, is hot.

A Few Mind-Control Oldies
Writing Journal: Progressing with The Adjusters #28. I just wrote one of the three or four major things that happen at the DIK-Bash. I also realized that I didn't know where to split #28 and #29. So instead of agonizing over it, I'll just write it up as one 30K words mega-episode and figure out the natural break-up point later. Onwards...
I am about to disappear for the Holidays, so aside from posting The Adjusters Christmas Special—yes there is one, although I am cheating a bit as you'll see—and episode #24, I will not be posting for the next few weeks.
To keep you distracted in the meantime, here are a few smut stories that might be of interest to you.
Let's start with something dark and twisted, namely Gawler Hicks's A Toy For Life: “Louisa loved to be raped like a limp doll. Some incredibly hot scenes. Other Tabico stories that I've enjoyed include Socket, and Arundsen's Device.
Next up, Phred Pharkas. He pulled his stories from the EMCSA a while ago, which is a shame because there was one in particular that always tickled me hard, I Know Who You Love: “Bob is forced to watch as new neighbor Sarah turns his wife Erin into a lesbian slave.” Another story where a wife is slowly lost, and this time it's a strongly FF story. Despite the latter, the tale really rubs me right. And when little Amy enters the picture? Yum! Anyways, you can still access the story via the Wayback Machine.

White Slavery
Writer's Journal: I'm slowly hacking away on The Adjusters #27. I don't foresee much problems with it, as it's a pretty straightforward episode. I suspect the rest of my Journal entries for the next couple of weeks will be pretty boring because of that. Although I'm not too crazy about the first sex scene, the one I'm almost done writing, but I'll work on improving it during my second pass. Right now, I'm just trying to get the beats down.
Over the weekend I finished reading my copy of Agents in Harm's Way by Don Winslow (and no, not that one), a gift from the author of whom I've always been a big fan. The description from Amazon nails the story pretty well:
I should point out that it still does not beat my favorite Winslow story though, The Joy Toy:
While we're on the topic of white slavery (man, that sounds bad... remember kids, don't try this at home. This is fiction. FICTION!), there's a very nice series of stories you should be aware of, loosely called the Bangkok Slaver series. Roughly, it's a series of stories sharing a universe, one which mostly revolves around white slavery in Bangkok and a Mister Vopat, proprietor of a club (really, a bordello) in said Bangkok. These stories are harsh and unforgiving, but exceedingly well written. They've all been collected at Understories.
The first four stories in the series were written by Parker and Marlissa, two amazing authors that deserve their own Author Spotlight here. Subsequent stories in the series were written by Stroker Ace and Spoonbender.
I'm actually quite excited about this, as the last few stories in the series are completely new to me! So while I cannot vouch for their quality, if they are anything like the preceding ones, then I'm in for a pleasurable read in the coming days.
In totally unrelated news: Kathleen Robertson is hot!
Over the weekend I finished reading my copy of Agents in Harm's Way by Don Winslow (and no, not that one), a gift from the author of whom I've always been a big fan. The description from Amazon nails the story pretty well:
“Special Agent Mallory Channing has had to fight every inch of the way to forge a career in a male-dominated bureaucracy. Beautiful, intelligent, and well educated, Mallory is determined to prove herself by volunteering for the most dangerous assignments. The only problem with it is that it's too short! This is a world and characters I'd have loved to see explored in more detail, over a long period of time. Then again, that's pretty much my reaction to all books that I enjoy, so...
I should point out that it still does not beat my favorite Winslow story though, The Joy Toy:

These stories are harsh and unforgiving, but exceedingly well written. They've all been collected at Understories.
The first four stories in the series were written by Parker and Marlissa, two amazing authors that deserve their own Author Spotlight here. Subsequent stories in the series were written by Stroker Ace and Spoonbender.
I'm actually quite excited about this, as the last few stories in the series are completely new to me! So while I cannot vouch for their quality, if they are anything like the preceding ones, then I'm in for a pleasurable read in the coming days.

Wives and Girlfriends Stories
A couple of interesting stories that I bookmarked up on Delicious, with a general theme of wives and girlfriends (and sisters-in-law).
The Birthday Slave by RedJohnny: "She makes herself the birthday present." A nice little submission story in which... well, it's exactly as the blurb says, really. In 3 short parts.
Family Lessons by GeorgeTasker: "Howard uses his busty wife in son's sex education." A nice twisted little tale of a man that wants his wife to educate his son (her step-son) in all ways sexual, but things veer a little bit out of his control when the boy and his step-mom sorta fall for each other. Some cute scenes in there.
Young Bride Satisfies Brother-in-Law by Imagine13: "Wife finds her wild side while visiting brother." Completely straightforward but well-written tale of a man that enjoys sharing his wife with his brother. I love the girl, Katy. There's a follow-up story too, Young Bride Satisfies Best Friend, which is pretty much what you would expect -- gotta love those titles that explicitly tell you what's going on!
Finally, Sis-in-Law Incentives by Tx Tall Tales: "Jenny and Alex incentivize each other." A man and his sister-in-law strike an interesting deal. He wants to lose weight and get cut-up, she wants a bunch of things. She's a personal trainer. The deal is that she helps him lose the weight, and when he loses a given percentage of his target weightloss, he gets her one of the things that she wants. What's the catch? Well, she has to find ways to motive him. Can you guess what those ways are? Come on... A perfectly tongue-in-cheek and hot little tale, in a nicely satisfying twelve parts.

A Blackmail Story by JustALittleRougher
I'm finding myself busier than I'd like this week, so today's post will be short and sweet. I'll make it up to you by giving a pointer to a long story though.
For your reading pleasure, a just-completed dark and twisted submission and blackmail story by JustALittleRougher entitled Diane Blackmailed: "Introduction to Diane and her dilemma, after years of consensual BDSM, one client decides to blackmail her and pimp her out." Some very nice scenes in there, and a character driven to the edge of despair, in a semi-realistic way. I love, for no reason that I can verbalize easily, the whole dying her hair red to satisfy a customer.

A Few Submission Stories (And One Not So Much)
Happy Easter, if you celebrate it. If not, then Happy Fertility Day.
Slogging through revisions to The Adjusters #16. Both it and #17 are a bit different, as you'll see, and it makes it more difficult to get right. We'll see how it turns out. But let me just say for future reference: no more stories with umpteen thousand characters. Sheesh, what a mess.
Anyways... A few stories caught my attention this week. All of them on Storiesonline, so you'll need an account there if you don't already have one. (You should: it's free, and there are some amazing stories on there.)
First up, Diary of a Wife, by Hawthorne: "It takes years for a married couple to finally figure out that she needs to submit, and he wants to dominate. Once she reveals her past, he makes her is own... in every way." A submission story, very well done. I especially like the first chapter, where the wife reveals herself for what she really is. Some really hot stuff in there. Too bad that the story seems to have been abandoned.
Next up, Tarnished Innocence, by Shani 34: "The new employee seemed to be perfect, but Mike discovered that she wasn't all that she seemed. She had lied to him, and to previous employers, and when he challenges her she admits it. And she accepts punishment, and asks for more. Mike tries to give her the excitement she craves." Another submission story, clearly. Some nice scenes in there, and a good pace.
Last up, the biggie -- Conflicted, by Eldridge: "Damon, an 18 year old high school athlete, learns some startling, yet very interesting things about his cheerleader younger sister, and the things she does with her best friends. As he slowly gets involved with the group of girls, however, he begins to realize that there may be more to his newfound happiness than he first realized." As the author points out, a "slow building story with lots of plot and subplots, as well as lots of sex in the later chapters." No shit. I'm three quarters into it, and it's just phenomenal. Lots of sex, good characters, amazing dialogue, and even the psychology is not that far off. (Warning: some incest.) It reminds me a lot of An Ordinary Teenage Sex Life by Bluedragon -- which I've talked about before -- both in style and in content, and it holds up very well to the comparison. Read it, that's all I'm going to say about it.

A Couple of Dark Submission Stories, and a New One by Pamela
Finished a draft of The Adjusters #20, which ended up being a big sex scene. And I'll need to let it rest for a bit because it's still very rough. Which is good, because I need a break. Aside from finishing to type up #15 and revising it for posting, no sex writing for the rest of the month.
I was reminded late last week of a story that I first read a couple of years ago that I always found deliciously perverse. Again, a fairly clichéd setup: the girl with the submissive streak that is not aware of it, at least at first. What's cool with this story is the way in which the girl discovers that she has that submissive streak: by noticing that some guys are trying to slip her roofies, but playing along nonetheless. There's pretty twisted stuff in there. It's by Danielle, on BDSM Library, a story called Roffeless: "A smart girl thinks she has outwitted a couple of sleazballs, but the game she plays leads her down into depravity and ruin." And upon rereading that story, I discovered there was a sequel, just as nasty as the original! Barb's Fall From Grace: "Barb, our heroine, rebels against her submissive nature... Will she succeed in recovering her self-respect and self-worth?"
The writing is a little bit rough around the edges, but makes up for it in filthiness. If you're still on board after those two stories, try another of Danielle's pieces, Lynsey's Game: "Lynsey is a sweet girl who has always had things her own way. So the thought of a little danger excites her. On the internet, she begins to play an exciting little game, thinking that she's safe. But she's not..." That one is a couple of notches higher on the darkness scale, playing somewhat fast and lose with the notion of consent. But pretty hot, in a mind-fucking sort of way.
Last but not least, I was delighted to see a new story by Pamela tonight! It's Discipline Maintained: "'Would you like to watch me chastise her, John?' said the English ambassador...speaking of his wife." A different voice for this one, and if you're up on your classics, you'll recognize both the voice and the title too. (And if not, there's a not-so-subtle hint in the story itself.)
