Writing Journal: Nothing interesting to report. Writing—not as much as I should, but writing.
Two stories with a prostitution theme on this quiet Saturday night, one older and one recent. And both pretty happy, which is a bit of a stretch for this blog these days.
The first is Escort Tales, by Bigdaddysmooth: “Antonella gives returning customer a night he won't forget.” That's just the description of the first, chapter, but gives a sense of the chapters that follow. It's basically the story of Antonella and Kobi, two recent-ish escorts and their adventures with clients. There's a hint of a darker turn at the end, but the story was never completed that I know of. (I'd be happy to hear otherwise if you happen to know.) Still, some good scenes, and the sex is hot.
The second story is more recent, Diary of a High Price Escort, by R_U_Romantic: “Angel's first appointment.” Again, this is the description of the first chapter only. It's the story of Angel, a high-class escort, and her adventures with clients as well. Actually pretty similar to Escort Tales in spirit, although it is both better written (although the psychology of the character is a bit weird) and also much more enthusiastic in its embrace of the escort lifestyle. A good read, and the story seems to be ongoing.

A Mind-Control Story for Today
Writing Journal: I'm not crazy about Book III of The Adjusters. I knew I was taking a risk, but it's just not gelling for me. Which sucks. The problem is I don't know if it's because I need a break from the storyline, or because there's really something wrong with it. For all I know, I'm just overly critical because, hey, I'm me. Of course, the book's not finished yet, and there's work I need to do over what's already been written... At least it's not a long book. You might have to be patient with it, as will I.
On top of the above, I'm grumpy. Yahoo is bumming me out. That's what I use as my email for my Bulgroz persona, and they've now taken to asking me for a mobile number for verification. Now, I'm as much a geek as the next person, and I totally understand why they do it and how important your email account is for online identity and yaddi yaddi yadda, but I'm just not crazy about my mobile number being out there.
I fear I'm turning into a cranky cynical old man. Next up: buying a cane and practicing screaming at kids on my lawn. Great...
Don't mind me, I'm just in that sort of mood. The “life sucks” mood. The “life sucks even though I can't really point to anything seriously wrong” mood. The “I so fuckin' thought I'd never feel this way again after leaving teenage-land” mood.
Thankfully, smut always calms me down. Here's an interesting mind-control story I ran across a few days ago, The Curse of Inanna, by Grandflasher C: “Hot blonde is bound by an ancient, magical ring.” The usual Literotica Zen-like synoptic succintness nonwithstanding, the story takes a couple of chapters before getting into gear, but when it does, there's some nice sex and an actually worthwhile storyline lurking. I love characters that are affected in such a way that they get turned on against their will and submit to their wild inner impulses. Oh, and the author has a couple of other good stories too—you should check them out.

Three Cheating Stories
Writing Journal: Writing has been slow this week. I compensated by brainstorming on the general outline for the rest of The Adjusters series. And I think I've finally nailed it. I mean, it's pretty fuzzy at the edges, the straight line at the end is pretty winding, and I'm pretty sure that random characters will stand up during the writing and want to be join in the fun, but it looks like I might have figured out the plot line in more details than the vague I know how it ends and more or less the kind of sort of things that I want to happen here and there on the way that has been my guide for the past year. Yay.
Three stories for you this weekend, having cheating as a theme, more or less.
First, The Cheating Bride, by KGardner: “My ex-boyfriend screws me hard, on my wedding day.” Just one scene, but a well-done one. And I'm a sucker for wedding dresses and wedding lingerie.
Second, Jessica, by Damonx: “She's just days away from her wedding when she meets him.” Again, there's a wedding dress in there somewhere. But a lot of activity before said wedding. Much sex, straightforward psychology, and lots of dirty talking. What's not to like?
Finally, Two's a Crowed, by AngiqueSophie: “Where I find out that I'm not the only guy in the world.” A long twisted tale that's not quite what it seems. A man discovers that his wife's cheating on him. But is she really? And if not her, then who? The kind of story that really gets my imagination going, and that I wish I could rewrite to align even more with my personal kinks.

Back with a Mind-Control Story
Writing Journal: I'm back. Started on The Adjusters #35 while I was away.
A long story to get us back on track. I came across this one a few years ago, but had completely forgotten about it. It has some nice moments.
It's Millenium Products, by Talespinner: “Kate is a voluptuous but conservative young mother of a beautiful teenager, but when she agrees to test a new perfume she finds herself changing her points of view and slowly turning into a cum addicted slut, dragging her own daughter along.” As the description implies, a twisted tale of mind control, with some nontrivial humiliation undertones. Ah! Who am I kidding—undertones? It's pretty much straight-up humiliation from the get-go. There are some very nice set pieces in there, if you're into that genre. It's in three parts, with the first two parts better edited than the third—the author freely admits English is not their first language.

A Handful of Random Stories
Writing Journal: Over the weekend, I figured out what was bugging me in Book III of The Adjusters. I have written three episodes (starting on the fourth) but there has always been something missing. I finally figured out what it was, and will work on adding the missing piece in. Which is nice because it also helped me understand the theme of Book III, something else that was eluding me. I think I have it now. Phew. Because it's just three weeks to the first installment. (If I remember, once Book III is out, I'll come back and tell you what it was that was missing.)
I'm about to travel for a week or so for summer vacation, so this blog will be quiet until I get back. Then again, it's been pretty quiet over the summer, so that will not be a huge change!
I try hard to focus exclusively on smut here, but but once in a while... Last night I was glued to the NASA live feed, catching the landing of Curiosity on Mars. And then this morning, this amazing image was making the rounds.
Onward with the more mundane, if more sensual, stuff. I've got a selection of stories that I ran across over the past two weeks that you might find interesting.
By Goldeniangel, the story Office Play: “Attracted to her boss, Diane gets a surprise.” Not a lot of time wasted on characterization and details irrelevant to the sex, and some nice twists to the old story of a girl that finds her boss irresistible for some reason, and the boss that turns her into his little BDSM plaything.
By Not My Story, we have A Husband's Mistake, A Wife's Nightmare. No description given, but the title says it all, without actually saying what it is. And it's complicated. It's the story of a wife that finds she enjoys cybersex, and a husband that is at first bothered by it, but eventually decides to try and bring the man she was playing with online into their little sexual world. Except that man has other plans... A nicely written story, with some very hot scenes. Note that the link above has only the first eight chapters. As far as I can tell, there are two more out there, which you can find in the version of the story at Djian Understories.
Next up, by Xleglover, we have Husband's Fantasy Backfires: “Husband wants his wife to be like her divorced friend.” Your typical husband-pushing-his-wife-to-cheat story, with some rather negative outcomes for everyone concerned. Aside from the hotness, the psychology is not entirely naive, which one can appreciate. If you like that story, check out Xleglover's complete oeuvre.
Finally, another one by Goldeniangel, Contest: “Friends compete to be more sexually open.” Some rather twisted ideas in that one, where two friends, as the title says, enter a competition judged by one of their male friends, who designs a series of challenges for each to overcome and be crowned the winner. Although I find it interesting that the one challenge I would have loved to see play out is the one challenge that gets passed over. Damn!

New Story: The Adjusters #31
Here is August's installment of The Adjusters, “Charlie and the Chancellor's Plot”, wherein we get a first glimpse at Jennifer Hansen's fiction.
As usual, comments welcome.
I'll also remind you that we have a Speculation Thread available for general discussion. (A thread which I read but do not comment on.)
The Adjusters #31 - Charlie and the Chancellor's Plot
Story by J. Dumas. First appeared in Flights of Erotic Fantasy
Magazine, Vol. 12, No. 5.
(1)
It was year four hundred and sixteen of the Renascence Era, a full
forty one years since the Great Darkness War, and thirty five years
into the reign of King Altobar the First, Wise Ruler and Hero of the
War. The land had been at peace for much of that time, the King having
dispatched the last persisting remnants of Darkness from the realm
with an alacrity that had bordered on earnestness. But rumors of a new
peril had started to seep the kingdom, a peril more pernicious than
invading armies of soulless undead.
And so it was that the Royal Guard--valiant knights having reached the
pinnacle of valor and nobility, and granted the privilege of serving
the person of the King--was on high alert, had been for the past
several months, acting as shields and enforcers in an attempt to
protect the King against the rumored plot to eliminate him and his
family and take control of the crown and thus the kingdom. King
Altobar the First was unconcerned, as threats against his person were
not infrequent, and ordered that the castle maintain its joyous and
festive atmosphere, if only because it pleased his sole daughter,
Princess Helena.
