Writing Journal: I'm almost finished revising The Adjusters #35, and I'm about halfway done writing #36. It's going slowly, very slowly. Too slowly, in fact. But at least I know what #36 and #37 are all about, and #37 should be the end of Book III—unless it comes out too long, and then I'll have to push some kind of epilogue into #38. But I'd rather avoid doing that. And then, time to start or rather continue writing Book IV, where we catch up with Jenn, which will be a bitch to write for reasons all of its own...
I hope all of you that celebrated Thanksgiving earlier this week had a wonderful time. I certainly did.
As I feared I would be, I've been incredibly busy these last few weeks, so little time to catch up with smut. Thankfully, I have accumulated a bunch of links to mind-control stories that caught my eye in the past few months, and that you may also find interesting.
The first three are rather dark stories where a victim is turned helpless to resist either orders from others, or her own prurient impulses.
In Heat, by Rikimaru: “Tiffany is drugged by John.” Poor Tiffany, who hardly deserved her fate. But quite hot. (ASSTR and by extension the EMCSA has been having problems lately, so refresh often if there are issues accessing the existing seven parts of this story.)
Dare Me Not, by Vexcave: “Janine can't resist a dare after listening to an audio CD.” Poor Janine, who also hardly deserved her fate.
Bossing the Boss, by Fourscore: “Frustrated worker controls his controlling boss.” Poor Suzanne, who maybe deserved her fate a bit more.
Next up, a slightly different take on mind control. Becoming Dominant, by Dirtysillythoughts: “Casey learns of his power through a very sexy mentor.” This is all about Casey discovering he's a dominant, who can assert his will on others. But instead of going on a crazy binge screwing every girl he runs across, he's taken in by his stepmother who teaches him about his gift in a rather special way. Some very interesting scenes in here. The story seems to be ongoing.
Finally, this one is listed as mind control, but frankly, it's not really that. The author, Nsiom, justifies the label by saying that getting someone to do something that they would not do otherwise by offering them enough money is a form of mind control, but I don't buy it. Thankfully, I don't have to, because the story is great even without that label. It's Busford: “People will do anything for money.” Busford is a smug uncouth bastard, but he's got money, and he likes to use it to satisfy his baser instincts. And he's happy to share the wealth with his friends. Some sweetly twisted scenes in there that are almost more effective than had the author used straight-up mind control.

Three Wife-Sharing Stories
Writing Journal: Reception of The Adjusters #34 seems to have been mixed—and part of the issue seems to be the change of direction of Book III. The discussion in the comments is particularly enlightening. I think I'm going to have to write a post on my vision at some point, as far as there is one... Aside from that, writing is progressing—#35 is drafted, and #36 and #37 (the end of Book III) are sketched out and parts of them are written. And I think I also figured out this year's Christmas Special—wasn't sure I'd do one, because I wasn't sure I had an idea for it or the time to write it, but I may be able to finagle something. Much more relevant from my perspective, it's something that I wanted to write at some point anyways...
Haven't had much time to read this week—and in fact, my schedule will probably be busy until the Holidays, and so don't be surprised if I restrict my postings to the weekends.
I've mostly been reading wife-sharing stories lately. Don't know why. The kick gets me once in a while. Some of it has to do with understanding the psychology of the fetish—it both calls to me and bother me. (Other fetishes are less ambiguous, as far as I'm concerned. Mind control: good, Nonconsensual: good, humiliation: good, incest: mostly good, scat: bad, snuff: mostly bad, etc.)
Anyways. I will dissert about the topic later. In particular, distilling the various classifications, from cuckold stories to cheating stories to wife-sharing stories, each interesting for various reasons. For now, here are some stories on the subject that have now or in the past held my attention—I guess you might call them wife-sharing stories, given the attitude of the folks involved.
First off, RGJohn's Brian's Sweet Slut. “Man encourages wife to take a lover.” A rather classic wife-sharing set-up, without too much baggage: man wants his wife to take a lover, and throws her in the path of one. Descriptions are hot, so is the sex. But nothing particularly kinky.
A bit more out there is Joatser's Don't Ask, Don't Tell: “Hubby's fantasies come true, to his delight and dismay.” That one involves still a husband that wants his wife to take a lover, but here the husband is not entirely ready for the full consequences of his actions, but the wife takes to it like a fish to water. The set-up here has some kink to it, especially the communication between the new lover and the husband. This story falls on this side of the careful-what-you-wish-for line. And yeah, once again, the wife is pretty hot.
Finally, E. Z. Riter's My Boss' Slut: “She wants a baby, her husband's boss wants to give it to her.” In this one, no secrets, nothing happening under the table, but the wife recognizes that she's a submissive, and lets another man than her husband be her dom. This story has not a lot of fat on it, and wastes no time with deep psychological insights. But if you're into control, it's a good one. And yeah, the sex: hot.
Any other story in that space that I haven't talked about yet?

New Story: The Adjusters #34
Here is November's installment of The Adjusters, “A Wedding and an Investigation”, wherein our Special gains a new Vessel for his Ministry, and Daniel and Shawbank interview their first victim.
As usual, comments welcome.
I'll also remind you that we have a Speculation Thread available for general discussion. (A thread which I read but do not comment on.)
The Adjusters #34 - A Wedding and an Investigation
(Ravenswood, West Virginia. Six months ago.)
He is fuming by the time he reaches the church. The traffic on the
Interstate was insane, and he had all sorts of difficulty finding the
church, the address he had scribbled in his notebook had smudged, and
he ended up looking for Cross Avenue rather than Crooks Avenue. And he
did not want to stop and ask for directions, not wanting to attract
attention.
Not that he thinks that what he is doing is wrong--but heathens so
rarely understand when confronted by designs beyond their comfort
zone.
He steps out of his car, and freezes. Guests are coming out of the
chapel, large smiles on their faces, congratulating each other.
He is too late. The wedding is already finished.
He swears under his breath. He is too late. And he cannot hit the
reception afterwards, because Lizzie has told him that the reception
is a tightly guarded affair--one of the guests is a well-known local
politician.
