ASSTR seems to be back online, so here is September's episode of The Adjusters, "A Day in the Life (III)", wherein we follow our last Delta Iota Kappa girl on a typical day.
As usual, comments welcome.
I'll also remind you that we have a Speculation Thread available for discussion. (A thread which I read but do not comment on.)
20 - A Day in the Life (III)
Lying in the sun on this relatively isolated beach near St John's, in
the Virgin Islands, Jennifer Hansen was not only enjoying the warmth
on her skin, but mainly the feeling of being herself, alone, free--if
only temporarily. Biff had gone to get some drinks, and this time he
had not left her any instructions aside from staying put and not to
hide her body. All in all, this was a rather minor set of
instructions. And so she was left to savor the pleasures of this
idyllic area of the Caribbeans, her very own gilded prison
She spotted from the corner of her eye a group of older teenage boys
walking past the towel she was lying on, local black kids judging from
their clothes and general demeanor, and saw them openly stare at
her. And why would they not? she reflected bitterly--I look amazing,
my body's taken to the sun like a fish to water, and this micro-bikini
hides absolutely nothing. When she felt their eyes on her, she could
not help the thrill of arousal shooting straight to her crotch, and
her body reacted automatically ever since--before she could complete
the thought, her nipples tightened, her thighs clenched, and her pussy
started juicing up. Here we go again.
The boys whistled as they walked past her. "Nice tits, babe!"--"Want
me to rub some lotion on you? I got great hands!"--"You fuck as good
as look?" Nothing terribly original, nothing she had not heard a
thousand times already since they had landed on this goddamned island
already a month ago.

Next month, episode 21: "Happy Birthday".
posted my main comments which on the teaser post. found the first half interesting.
ReplyDelete2nd half a decent scene but not really new besides going home where things might get dicey. more importantly, you earlier mention biff was just a bully- well he is, but he is also kinda evil. forcing jenn to send emails (daniel hasn't gotten), filming her to destroy Daniel, taking Tiger's virginity. He is evil and deserves what is coming to him. Does he hate Daniel?
Still trying to figure out how Jenn will get out of this and not be messed in the head. Hopefully Daniel grows a set of balls and is able to free his former fiancee and take the frat out- they do deserve a pit of punishment...
Who's birthday?
Interesting twist that Jen is actually aware of her actions, not just swimming in a lust haze like Serena does.
ReplyDelete@ domein: that what i thought two when i posted in the teaser (or 1/2 half post). Is that a screw up from the constant activation? Or is it b/c that program is not stable. Its interesting: almost like split personalities: the one Biff wants (jennie) vs her nl one (which has no control).
ReplyDeletewonder if Jenn will run into Serena or Cindy when she goes home? That won't be good if its the former-but Cindy is devious would she let Daniel know that Jenn is home (but screwed up).
Yeah, this is an unexpected twist. I actually thought the programming would change Jenn at her very core. Was sort of looking forward to reading a chapter of her deranged slutty thoughts. Interesting twist (though I still want my deranged slutty Jenn thoughts!) ;) Great writing as usual, a few typos there are some places you call Jennie "Jessie" and Biff "Bill"
ReplyDeleteA couple responses:
ReplyDelete@met — "2nd half a decent scene but not really new besides going home where things might get dicey."
Indeed. But the Day in the Life was not meant to make the plot really go forward. It was mostly taking a break to get into the psychology of our girls.
But how Jenn treated Tiger is also relevant.
"you earlier mention biff was just a bully- well he is, but he is also kinda evil. forcing jenn to send emails (daniel hasn't gotten), filming her to destroy Daniel, taking Tiger's virginity. He is evil and deserves what is coming to him. Does he hate Daniel?"
He doesn't specifically hates Daniel. He is still essentially a bully. He just gets off sexually on bullying people. I'm pretty sure that he'd get tired of Jenn pretty quickly if it wasn't for making videos and stuff to taut Daniel with. (Fact is, Jenn is the first girl that was programmed and that had a boyfriend—all others were chosen more sanely for essentially being loners. Hence why Biff didn't pull this off before.) Were you to look in his closet, you'd find a bunch of porn with similar themes, guys humiliating other guys by messing around with their girlfriend. Now he has the chance to do it, and he's definitely going a *bit* overboard.
"Still trying to figure out how Jenn will get out of this and not be messed in the head."
An excellent question, that.
@Domein (and @blahsz) — "Interesting twist that Jen is actually aware of her actions, not just swimming in a lust haze like Serena does."
It's no spoiler to say that Jenn has been programmed using a combo of what was learned through Trish (the blonde cheerleader, who's also aware of her actions), and Marjorie, who had a "permanent" activation. And we know how well that last one turned out...
@blahsz — "a few typos there are some places you call Jennie "Jessie" and Biff "Bill" "
Stupid automatic spell correction. (And weird, too. Jessie's okay, but Jennie's a typo? Whatever.) Thanks for catching those.
@ bt3: thanks for the reply. i'm assuming my question you did not answer is relevant to future chapters- though she'll have to change the tattoo (maybe its a henna tat- that should be easy).
ReplyDeletewasn't trish reprogrammed by the doctor- to fix that part? I thought that was implied- that while being aware was ok- kevin wasn't that thrilled about it.
I thought Biff just wanted Jenn constantly activated like Majorie. But I guess bernie programmed trish and thats what he did to jenn.
BTW food for thought for anyone: a semester is 4-5 months. Majorie broke down at the end of the semester- Jenn has been activated for about 2 months know- i noticed a thought in the chapter of her thinking maybe shes insane. I wonder if thats how it started with Majorie.
@met — "wasn't trish reprogrammed by the doctor- to fix that part? I thought that was implied- that while being aware was ok- kevin wasn't that thrilled about it."
ReplyDeleteI'd have to re-read the chapter, but I think Kevin liked it. In fact, I'm pretty sure he liked it. Fact is, she's still aware. The doctor never changed it. (Not that it's a big plot point.)
