So Bad it's Good?

I've started rewriting The Adjusters #14 from my original version of three years ago, because the first half doesn't fit the current story line, but at least the second half is in decent shape. So I'm happy. Meanwhile, slowly plodding through #18, which looks like it's going to be the longest one yet. But most of it seems necessary. At least, there's lots of sex. Always a pleasant thing to write, people having fun and getting it on. It's the last breather before the slide to the conclusion of Book II.

RL has been keeping me busy this week, so I'm going to keep this one short. One thing I've been doing when my brain turns off at night is surf Literotica by following the "recommended stories" links, that for each story attempts to link to similar stories, a bit like Amazon's "if you like this then you may like this too." I don't know if they are automatically-generated links or if authors or editors choose them, but you find doozies that way -- both good and bad.

And then I ran into a long story that's so out there, so incongruously exaggerated, so willing to plow through cliches like so many paper-thin walls, that for me it has blasted through the so-bad-it's-good brick wall. I've been reading the first 20 chapters, just to see where the author is willing to go with the premise. Have a look, it's delirious fun: An Opportunity not to be Missed, by Bambigirl44: "Busty coed submits to an old man." And when they say busty, they mean busty. Everyone in that story has a crippling boob fetish. And when they say old man, they mean old man. Oh boy do they mean old man. Actually, old men. You'll see. If you can stomach it for that long, that is.

  1. have to agree. so bad its good.
by the way, was watching Van Wilder- the sister sorority in the film are called DIK girls (the frat is Delta iota Kappa). ironic, no?

waiting patiently for chap 14. will our unknown female character come more out of hiding and have interactions with Daniel or Serena?

  2. To follow up on a comment in the last one:
The most interesting thing I can come up with is to make Daniel a "sleeper agent" of sorts for the Doctor's former associates. There's a lot of possibilities there.
Plus juicy potential for him to wield control over Jenn/Serena/Cindy/etc.

  3. It makes sense to me at least, him using Jenn to get Biff's attention (the weakest link in the DIK organization that I can see) and allowing Jenn to be 'imprinted' in front of him. Maybe the woman following him around is his handler?

  4. A quick non-spoilery response --

@will - Yes, I did notice the DIK frat in Van Wilder as well, and that made me laugh. I remember seeing a reference to a DIK frat several years back (before V.W.) and that's where I got the idea, and I wonder if they saw the same thing I did. OTOH, it's a pretty natural place to go.
